I do hope you're using tongs* to feed him? That way your hands stay safely out of his reach if he misses or makes a mistake -sometimes our hand is warmer than
their prey item, just saying...
*tongs- can be 12" tweezer-type made for this, or 12-18" hemostats, or even blunt-nosed BBQ-kitchen tongs. Feeding bites are NOT fun, best to avoid, also for your
snake who may also be put off feeding after a mishap. (some snakes seem to lose some of their "confidence" if they miss or hit the wrong thing)
