Oh I know beinng on the phone and not concentrating on a snake (heaven forbid missing that Snapchat picture). If it were me I would choose between the snake or that next text. Regardless of how much you love your snake, just remember it doesn't love you......toleration is the BEST you can ever hope for from a snake with a spritz of trust. Have I ever been bit? Literally dozens of times but never even close to my face. I know I will get smoked for this post but I care more for your eyesight than ANY snake. I'm transparent in my posts and I don't hide my feelings or the truth.
I definitely agree, I wasn’t paying attention atm. Was too deep into conversation. Will definitely give her my undivided attention at all times now.
And proud pic, no. But it was my first bite and it being that spot is unfortunate, but yep, after I put her back in her tank, I snapped a pic so I can remember this. And to be reminded why she’ll never be allowed anywhere near my face again.
I do care for my snake, regardless of what you or anyone may think. I just got caught up in my phone call. But I respect and thank you for your feedback.

Honestly? It happens. (Well, hopefully not on your face ever again) My "giant" and oh so intimidating 200 gm BEL decided my hand looked like a tasty rat when I was trying to get my dad and stepmom to warm up to snakes. 😂 And she wouldn't let go!

It sounds like you've taken this in stride and are using it as a good learning experience, which is all you can really do.

Oh no, never again on my face lol. That’s honestly where she likes to hangout though. I’m guessing bc of all the heat my head gives off as others have said.

And lol wow, they have perfect times for biting. I was in the living room and my mom hears me scream. She comes running and she’s freaking out more than me hahah. Yeah, think all of the progress we made with trying to get her to love Imogen has gone out the window 😑

But yes, definitely using this as a learning experience. She’s getting bigger so I really need to be more careful with her. Can’t imagine how that would’ve felt if she was an adult lol.

There are several other ways to tell her ur feelings without being an ***hat. Your just make yourself look dumb by speculating her situation. Your points are great, your delivery sucks.

the the op, just take this crap in stride. 99% of people here wouldn’t post up that they did something like that. Live and learn. I had always wondered why people drape their snakes around their necks. I never had because I have a phobia of loosing an eye since I build race cars for a living and saw a tool go through a fellow workers eye. He lost it completely, it scared me so bad that for the last 10 years I’ve put my glasses on when I leave the house and take them off when I get home. It’s such a habit that I forget I’m even wearing them

At the end of the day these are animals and you have to be careful no matter how friendly they can seem. Glad to see it was just a bite on the forehead and not something more serious.

True ... she was actually very ,very lucky . If you think of all the places on her body it could have bitten yet it was actually just a inch away from her eyes and possibly blinding her .. that's scary !
