    Well, interesting. I liked my three old ones just fine - yeah, a bit of shine on the surface, but that never bothered me. As far as I know, the old ones were never branded, just a product that RB sold.

    I don't trust Vivarium Electronics products. Had one crappy VE2 t-stat with a mis-aligned plug insert that has always been a pain to get the plug in and out of. Also, ordered several thermometer/hygro's with the VE label, and they weren't cheap. JUNK! The number displays of two were wonky right out of the box (missing pixels, and mostly illegible), and none of them ever agreed with eachother, even close, for humidity.

    I like Reptile Basics, and I have been happy with the old style RHP's, but I won't order any more now that they are under the VE label.
