    I would not use traditional Nueosporin.

    I believe that has a pain killing ingredient as well as the antibiotic ingredient. That's bad for snakes.

    You want a petroleum based antibiotic cream/gel that has ONLY antibiotic in it and maybe some vitamin D as the main ingredients, NO PAIN KILLER.

    Generic antibiotic ointment might be fine. You also do not need much. I think I bought some, when my BP had managed to rub her head snout a bit and it was irritated, for about $3.
