Also...animal shelters and reptiles. They have even worse set ups and we just took a big turtle that they were going to euthanize so ya, that's cool....not. So this big box store just saved an animal.
Big rig box stores exist because for most peop,e we are the first time people see these animals. I am the first line of defense so to speak. I point them In the correct direction on supplies to get and what not to get.
Are we we all like me...nope. But some breeders are bad too. Keep that in mind.
and yes I get defensive when I have to keep saying the same dang thing over and over again lol. That store may be one of the bad ones, granted, but dont lump us all together.
Nah, I ain't lumping you guys all together. Almost all petcos and petsmarts in my state do a really crappy job at caring for their reptiles. Keep in mind, I'm also aware about breeders: personally why I stand against them and I work for a humane society that spays and neuters all of their animals. Only reason why I spoke out was because its not the first time I've seen or heard of petcos and other pet stores mistreating their reptiles.
If I'm being honest, you're probably the first one I've heard who actually takes good care of your animals in a pet store such at petco; hence why I didn't say ALL petcos mistreat, just left it open ended. 'Cause even animal shelters and human societies have their fare shares of flaws. Seems like no place is perfect.
I apologize if I sounded like I was directing towards all pet shops.
