If you're only carrying one snake, you can use a bin inside the cooler if you prefer...that's too heavy & bulky to carry when doing a bunch of snakes, that's all...
& they take up way too much room in ice chests to take multiple snakes as I do. I'd need a caravan to get them all there.

No issue with air-flow for 5 minutes or even an hour+...remember the limited air flow when snakes are shipped by air. He'll be fine.

YES! Do it, you'll have fun & they'll learn a LOT from you.

    Re: Snake Show And Tell

    Well today was the day.....

I ended up as the guest presenter in my son’s school. They were learning about animals around the world and it just so happened ‘snakes’ were a popular topic. They asked me to bring my Ball Python into the classroom for the kids to see. My son was so excited to share all the information that he’s learned since we got ‘Fred’ over a year ago. All the kids were patiently waiting when I arrived and eager to ask questions. It was an absolutely amazing experience and I encourage all of you to do it if you get the chance. I can honestly say each child enjoyed themselves and shockingly enough, several of the teachers who expressed fear ended up holding Fred at the end of the session. I even handed out a picture of Fred with some fun facts about Ball Pythons to each student. It was such a treat!!!

And to add....Fred was a rockstar! This was the longest he's ever been out of his cage and the most people he's been around. He never showed any signs of being nervous and was a favorite among the kids

Way to go! It's just SO much fun to share the love of our beautiful snakes, isn't it? And to see people even change their minds...
You really made their day, it's obvious! And what a great idea, to hand out a picture for them to remember meeting Fred...because you can
bet they'll be showing their friends & family (that weren't there in person) now too.

Couldn't agree more Bogertophis. I very rarely (if ever) meet an adult who thinks having a snake is a good idea so it was refreshing to see a bunch kids so eager to ask questions and learn about these creatures. I truly felt like I was 'planting' a positive seed in their minds and that hopefully they won't think grow up thinking snakes are 'yucky' or at all dangerous.
