    Thg

Ok....first time using this stuff and I have a question. The aluminum tape isn’t supposed to go over the black or gold, so that leaves a very tiny area on 2 sides for the tape.

So I’m assuming that the gold side would be the side making contact with the enclosure and then I can tape all 4 sides on the laminated side?

Where can the therm probe lay?

u can tape over the heat tape and black and copper. it's the exposed area that u cannot have metal-on-metal contact like where the copper is cut at the corners. that should be covered w/ insulation like electrical tape. the black heating element and copper are all sealed except where it is cut to size or pierced or hole punched. i prefer to place the thermostat probe in the center of all heat tape or heat mats.

Edit: did the THG come pre-wired or do u know how to wire it? b/c i imagine if it came pre-wired, the vendor/seller would of taped/insulated the corners for u already.

It came pre-wired from Reptile Basics. Only bottom two corners where plug is are taped?

u also need to tape those corners on the opposite side when the copper is cut. u gotta tape/cover any exposed metal that has or will have current/power running through it.

    Edit: b/c u don't wanna get zapped!
