Is a thermometer necessary?

Depending on what type of enclosure you have depends on where you need a thermoSTAT. You will need a thermoSTAT to regulate ALL of your heat sources. You only need one uth (regulated with a thermoSTAT)on your snakes hot side and not on the cool side. You need a thermoMETER to see what the ambient air temp is (80) and humidity levels (60). Both are required and not an option along with your temp gun.

Sorry, it was just a typo. Was late and didn't double check before I made the post. I already got the thermostat, knew I needed that from the getgo. Was just curious about the thermometers. I've bought those cheap ones before that are never accurate, so I was curious if just the temp gun would work, or the digital thermometer I use in the room (about the size of my hand, I set it in my tarantulas enclosures here and there to check the temp/humidity). But I'm gonna go ahead and get some good digital thermometers
