When I was 6, I was pretty determined that I would be an paleontologist.

I'm with you: I told my first grade teacher (Mrs. O'Neil) that I wanted to be a paleontologist. She said "What's that?" and after I explained it to her she said: "Why don't you consider something more realistic for you-like a Taxi cab driver, or a Cashier at Zayres?" Thanks for the vote of confidence...I ended up a Biomedical Engineer...
