    red spot on lower body

Oh and if possible I would get rid of that half log and give him 2 completely surrounding round hides that will fit snug. Just look around on the forum you'll find overwhelming advice from previous threads

If I were you I'd soak her in a 90F water bath with diluted povidone iodine added, about the strength of a weak tea. You could soak her for about five minutes every 4-5 days just to be on the safe side, I'd probably do it 3-4 times. I use that stuff for all my animals, even my snakes. If I see even one little red spot they get a soak in the iodine and it immediately goes away. Depending on what morph you have be sure to assist if they have a wobble like a Spider or Champagne or they may drown. I'd put just enough water to cover their back.

I'll keep an eye on them. Where would I usually get that?

So far you're doing great!! This forum is here so people can ask questions. We were ALL new at some point, and we are ALL still learning. There are great people on here who are happy to help as long as you are willing to listen. No secret judgement, but plenty of knowledge and passion.

Burns are completely gone! They were gone like after the first 2 sheds she had with me thanks to a bump in humidity and some warm baths (to sooth the pain, not sure if it actually helped heal it). She’s doing amazing besides an RI she got a bit back that was treated immediately (poor ventilation on my part, traded that for humidity. Feels bad man). she’s feeding on Medium rats now, her figure is optimal (big but not sausage big, still a visible spine) and i think she grew about 2 feet since first acquisition. She’s an extremely sweet ball python that deal great with handling but i never force her into it. Im taking her in for a check up next week and have her nasal cavity examined, i think she might have some stuck shed in there so thats whats up. All in all, her living conditions are way better than before. I often find myself spending entire paychecks just on her for the “best” hydrometers or a new bulb and such. I’ve fallen in love with her and i couldn’t ever bare to lose her, she’s only 2 years old now so i still have a LOT of time with her :-). I appreciate the concern with her well being, ive taken up reptiles as a passion now and hope to study herpetology in North Carolina state university. This amazing community and the creatures you guys own fueled my love for reptiles. Hopefully i can get more rescues like her in the near future.

Sounds promising ... I've read through your posts and didn't notice much detail given on the setup ..

Presumably there's a thermostat regulating any heat source and you're not using one of those stick on plastic thermometers to check temps ..

Next paycheck treat yourself to a ten dollar digital heat gun ( you may already have one actually ) ...

Welcome to the "addiction" It's truly a wonderful feeling to help a creature survive and then become the healthiest & most beautiful it can be.
