Questions about king/milk snakes

I found some pics of an adult black milksnake and they're pretty impressive looking, so if I can get one for a reasonable cost I'd definitely be interested and I have a vacant 4x2x1 Boaphile that I think would make a great home for an adult Black Milk (either that or I've also thought about housing a Blood Python in it).

Just gonna throw my honest two cents out there:
I have a King and a Borneo STP (blood family). I personally would offer more height for an adult colubrid, but a 4x2x1 would be perfect for a blood since they never leave the ground.
I mentioned it in an earlier reply, but my boy Django is in a 4x2x2 and uses every inch. My boy Juice (Borneo), however, would be perfectly content with only 12" of height.
Just food for thought.

OK, that still gives me plenty of time before he'd grow into that big a cage. I also have a 40 gallon breeder as an interim size and a 75 gallon tank (48" long x 18" deep x 20" tall) which is a little more overall volume than the 4x2x1 and more climbing space if you think that would be a better fit for a large king/milk. That also gives me time to observe their behavior and see how much they actually climb. My best cage is a 48" tall x 48" wide x 24" deep which is reserved for my Carpet when she gets big enough since they are fairly arboreal.

And yes, a STP of any sort would be an ideal tenant for the 4x2x1 - it's just a question of too many cool snakes and too little time/money/space for everything If there's still room in the budget or the selection of kings/milks doesn't pan out at Daytona I may still end up picking up a STP but it's been a bit over a year since I last researched them so I need to refresh myself on the species differences, sizes, temps, etc...

At least it does work in my favor that most kings/milks aren't that expensive so it may be possible to pick up a STP *and* a couple of kings/milks, I just need to work out my priorities.
