Yes, he is het for either white or purple like SMV said.
Basically here is how it works...
white+white=white
white+lavender=white or lavender
purple+purple=purple
purple+lavender=purple or lavender
lavender+lavender=white or purple or lavender
A purple+white will yield a het for only one, either a purple or white, you wont know until you breed it to a het of one or the other. This applies to Clark strain.
And i disagree with SMV, there are a lot of people i have talked to who actually prefer white albinos. There is plenty of a market for all 3 strains, it boils down to what the breeder likes and wants to breed.
