...Not sure if you are confusing Permethrin with Ivermectin. Vets can give Ivermectin shots to reptiles which will kill mites that try and feed on them thus breaking the cycle but I have read about some smaller reptiles having adverse effects to it. My vet said she could give Luna shots when Luna got mites. I skipped it and just did PAM for 3 months and it was gone.

I would personally NOT be comfortable with the risks using Ivermectin on snakes either, from what I've read.
