I just had a chat with somebody the other day about gloves. This thread just reiterates what my thoughts were. Just take the bite, you're risking more harm to the animal with gloves on.

Yeah gloves are more or less worthless unless you are dealing with something like a Gila or Beaded lizard like i said. In that case, you dont want them chewing their venom into you since they dont have fangs to inject it. All the snake bites i have taken were pretty much so quick i just looked at it and was like 'wha!!'. Most dont even hurt either as they are just defensive bites which are quick anyways.
