    Re: white lipped python breeders?

Reptile Rapture (link posted above) posted a couple pictures this week to FB of his breeder male and pair in their new enclosure. If/when there are babies I expect Rich will note if they were bred there, he does it with other animals he’s bred. If the provenance of one of their animals isn’t noted, contact them, very good people.

Both of mine are imported, but only one has a bad attitude, the other is quite calm.
I think you'd see a fairly significant difference in attitude, especially when comparing a critter that was caught and imported as an adult versus a CB neonate.

Remember these animals aren't treated well during the catch/import process, they may be handled roughly or not at all, they often aren't fed or even offered water regularly, they may have parasites, etc. The first importer seller here in the US may take the time to acclimate them, treat for parasites, get them feeding, etc. but not always; some will literally unpack the imported shipment at an expo and put them on the table.

a breeder/vendor from another table came over and bought this feisty female.

they were from an Idaho based breeder - Molecular Reptile. here: http://www.molecularreptile.com/Both_Leio.html#black

i don't remember the breeder that bought the female but i have his card somewhere. he also specialized in aboreal pythons.
i think it was one of Nick Mutton's guys from Inland Reptiles who bought the WLP(s). i would recommend contacting them as well since they work w/ similar snakes.

I was just going to come on to say this. Reptile Rapture is where we got our Dumeril's from and we had a great experience. Pretty sure how well they packed her is why she made it through the shipping nightmare. They breed a lot of their animals on-site.

Richard does have a pair of adults and they did not lock up this season but he plans on trying again in the future. I'm sure he'll make an announcement when/if it happens. We've spoken at length and I've secured a male from the pairing, can't wait!!!!

If you check Fauna there were a few there as well.

Here's my male nothern - if you care to see. Both of mine are quite nervous, but he is actually handleable. She is a little trickier with her quick-to-anger personality.

Great picture, that’s one hell of a stunning snake them white lips stand out so well against the iridescent dark body
The white lip and the Angolan python would probably be the only pythons that I really would love in my collection of boas
