It's much harder to disinfect a wood cage too, keep that in mind. And if there's ever a question about re-using the cage that a sick animal previously occupied, I not only give it more time, but I also use various disinfects*, one after another, because they don't all work as well on the same things. You want to cover all the bases. (*depending on what I'm disinfecting, I may use F10, chlorhexidine/Nolvasan, chlorine bleach solution, & even rubbing alcohol; keep in mind that for disinfectants to work their best, they must not en-counter "dirt", so first remove all traces of debris with water & a bit of soap.)

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind in case it comes up later (which it probably won't, I think we're planning to chuck it as soon as I'm able to move her into another).
