Listen I'm not an expert but this snake has the exact same break in the line on the head and horizontal dots. Ad was last updated just two weeks ago.
Not trying to be a pessimist but the chances of someone abandoning a 600 dollar snake when moving or losing it and not looking for it?
For picking up a mainland female reticulated python, one of the snakes with the highest level of care requirements there have been an awful lot of concerning basic knowledge questions. People on this forum have been kind but I'm assuming there would've been some questions outright buying a male to breed. Saying your neighbor found a 600 dollar snake though plays a little easier.
WOW!... hmmmmmmmmmmm.......
Yep I ask questions.
Yep I have snakes that I work hard to provide quality care for.
Not sure what else to say. None of my snakes cost me more than $400.00 (not including caging)
Believe what you like.
Peace.

Wow. It's hard to tell b/c the OP's pictures aren't the greatest, but those head and top of the neck markings are a very close match.

Wow... The patterns and line breaks on their heads do appear to be identical...

Ah, the internet, where everyone is out to pick apart every story and attempt to prove you wrong.... "sigh"
Beautiful snake, wherever it came from.

Who knows, maybe a neighbor bought it, lost it and then his neighbor found it.
But really, it's just a silly thing to fib about IMO
I hate being so skeptical but there's a reason for it, over the years in this hobby, seen some really crazy things.
oh well.
As long as the snake is loved and taken care of, in the end, that's what matters.
edit - and I guess this means it IS a plat motley, not sunfire, so at least there's known genetics.

Re: So, I decided to keep him. Name is Monty Python
For the people who think I have on a tinfoil hat I can't keep these guys in my state due in part to individuals owning them that had no business dealing or keeping the big constrictors. That breeder is located in Texas as is the cage company OP uses. About the biggest thing I can own is an Olive, which I possess and had to think long and hard about adding.
Why fib if you thought people would be accepting of purchasing a snake to breed?
The advice that needed to be offered in the skyrivers thread makes me disagree fundamentally with someone of that experience level signing themselves up to deal with a mainland female on eggs.

Re: So, I decided to keep him. Name is Monty Python
I might have found his owner. A lady that lives on the other side of my neighbor's house responded to my post in Facebook. She provided me photos. Her and her family been out of town for a week because her mother-in-law died. They won't be back till this weekend. Then we can find out if her snake is still in its enclosure. I will update everyone this weekend after they get back. Till then. he is house safely and well taken care of.
