Proper size tubs for Ball Pythons???

I was watching a ton of videos on YouTube earlier and someone claimed to keep his ball pythons in a 6qt shoe box until 600 - 800 grams.

Is that really a good idea. Seems a little tight to me.

i mean, technically you can keep your snake in a cereal box...that doesn't make it good husbandry or good for the snake.

IMO that's a terrible idea. borderline cruel.

i start everyone off (~80g hatchlings) in a 12qt tub, and they graduate to a 32qt tub around 300-350g or so. my oldest male (900g) was moved into his T8 (48x24x12in) at around 750g or so. my younger snakes will likely be moving into an adult rack (41qt) around that same weight as well.
