    Fixing/Changing Enclosure

My bp recently started roaming again so I'm thinking about going ahead and switching to a tub from a tank. Everything is still the same. The hides were originally temporary but my bp was doing good with them. The tank could be too small being a gallon but everything was fine until a couple days ago.

    I have two tubs:

    1. 15 Qt. /14 L (16 1/2" L x 13"W x 6 5/8" H)

    2. 34Qt /32 L (26 1/2" L x 16"W X 6 5/8" H)

I use a reptitherm heat mat (on a thermostat) and was considering getting heat tape. My problem is the tubs that I have aren't completely flat on the bottom outside or inside. Will this cause a problem with the heat mat / tape? Or do I need flat tubs? Also, how much of the tape would I need for the tub? I see tape have different sizes. I want to put it on the short sides instead of long ways. And what would be the best size hide if I'm ordering online and I can't see it. I see bids some stuff is just leaving me a bit confused.

    Thanks in advance!

in my experience, a non-flat bottom isn't too detrimental, but takes a bit more work to dial in properly.

regarding tub and hide size: how much does the snake weigh? sorry if you've shared this info before.

    I don't have a scale but it's about a foot and a half.
