    Question Snake Game Research

Hey guys! I was just wondering, does anyone in this group work or volunteer somewhere where they either educate about snakes, work with snake/reptile conservation or rehoming? I'm creating a game at the moment where I'm trying to get people to view snakes in a better light to what is currently represented in film and games. (Hopefully this will promote/fund conservation and rehoming.) I'm just trying to gather some info which may help communicate the game well if anyone is open to some questions?

I'll pop a little photo of a royal python character I've made here (Still need to add patterns - but all the scales are modelled from real shed skin from my royal).

Hey Ax01. Thank you for the info! Also thank you for pointing out that link - I accidentally pasted the wrong link originally, it must have kept the old link when I pasted the new relevant URL.

My idea is to make it into an endless running game for mobile and tablet - so think temple run style gameplay.

The game will be titled 'Tip the Scales' and will have a human character with a snake spirit animal which balances on their body. The snakes movement will be directed by tilting the iPad. For example, if the iPad is tilted forwards the snake will move forwards, if it was tilted to the side the snake would travel with it. If the player tilts the iPad too abruptly the snake will play animations where it will pause and act startled. The objective is for the player to progressively build up the snakes speed by moving gently with them and building a virtual relationship and learning from their characteristics (which would hopefully prompt them to look into how they have physically help the animal outside of that virtual space).

At the moment I only have one species of snake built for the game (Royal Python), however I would like to add more. I also would like to add a few in-store purchases of different patterning morphs which are inspired by real animals up for adoption or who need fundraising. That way I can target money generated by that particular skin to certain charities. All of the species I include would be non-venomous as I don't want to promote physically handling venomous species but I am open to information on how I could also promote conservation for venomous species too.

Each species of snake will be played in a new environment using a setting where the species would realistically live so that audiences can learn about their habitat!

Sounds interesting, I’m intrigued and will try it out when it becomes available.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

awww i was hoping for a cobra esp. b/c they can move and slither about with their hoods raised. but i get where you're coming from. (maybe u can just add that for me as a secret unlock? ) but i think education about venomous species could be about how scientists can use their own venom to create antivenin and vaccines. maybe in later generations or updates, we can have a milk the venomous snake game using the gyroscope and movements of a phone or tablet.

maybe venomous snakes could provide bonuses, boosts or special abilities, since their venom has provided countless benefits to us as humans! it'd be a great way to associate venomous snakes with benefiting us.
