The New Enclosure Is Done (+ Photos)

    Hi,

I really wanted to share my ball python's new enclosure.
Last week I suddenly found ants in my ball python's old enclosure and since I wanted to move him to a larger enclosure anyway, I decided that I would do that immediately. (By the way after I moved him and thoroughly cleaned the old enclosure the ants were never seen again.)
Sadly I didn't (and still don't) have everything I wanted to decorate the enclosure with but within the next month I'll fully furnish the enclosure. Today is also the first day I tried to feed him and he took the rat almost immediately.
The enclosure is quite big. It's 150 cm (59 inches) x 68 cm (27 inches) x 80 cm (31 inches) big. I know that's a lot but I found out that my ball python (he's about 1 m in size (which is about 3,2 foot) and weighs about 650 grams at 1 year of age) weirdly seems way more calm in bigger enclosures. At first I was a bit worried that even he might think that the enclosure is too big but after a few days of midnight exploring, he settled down. As mentioned before, he even ate so I'm quite happy at the moment.
The terrarium has two heat lamps and both of them are regulated by thermostats. The cold spot is at about 79 degrees and the heat spot is at about 89,5 degrees. The hides are right under the CHEs.
