Red butt?
I noticed she had red coloring around her butt couple weeks ago, . Her whole body seems to be slightly pinkish right now when under light, but can’t really tell if not closely looked under light, and this may be sign of shedding I believe. However, the butt was like that from some time ago, and was wondering what that is. She had a sausage butt from when I got her. She did pee and saw urate but I don’t think there was fecal with it. Hot spot is sitting at 91 degrees.

Re: Red butt?
How long have you had her? Is it possible she could be gravid from before you purchased her? Because she looks very plump and that is a pretty extreme taper on her tail. I don't know for sure but it seems like her "sausage butt" may be due to eggs.
The only other thing I can think of is constipation, but I don't believe that's a common problem for BPs. I think it's pretty normal for them to go several weeks at a time w/o defecating.

Re: Red butt?
By taper I just mean the transition from the thicker part of her tail to the very end. Usually it's more gradual, but hers seems to be pretty abrupt. But if she is that little then yeah, it's not due to her being gravid. Sorry, I wish I could help more, but this goes beyond my knowledge of ball pythons. I recommend research while you wait for more experienced snake keepers to reply. Google is your friend.

ofc, doing the research, but can't seem to find my situation. I can find some swollen butt stuff, but I don't think she is swollen since nothing is sticking out of her opening.

Re: Red butt?
Sausage butt, she just has to poop, just soak her in some warm water to help her relax and more then likely she’ll poop for ya, that’s what happen just a few days ago with my oldest Banana. He hadn’t pooped in weeks and was backed up with three small marble sized urates.

Re: Red butt?
Also looks like the starting of a shed, bump up the humidity to 70% and maintain it till shed. How’s ur tank set up? Heat source? Regulated with a t-stat and what are the temps?

Re: Red butt?
The redness looks like slight urate burn, it can happen fairly quickly if the snake is laying in its own waste.
Some snakes just make a mess of their cage and you can't watch them 24/7.
I don't see much swell in the pictures. If this is something you are concerned with: I would check your belly heat source with a temp gun and confirm that it is heating a large enough area in the correct range for the snake to thermoregulate properly for digestion. A snake that is too cold with food in it will bloat.

Heat tape, regulated. Temps are good. I thought it was starting of shed but she had this for weeks now, so I don't think the red butt is related to shed..

Not 100% sure if she had this as soon as I got her since I left her alone for a bit. But, she only excreted waste one time for me, when I immediately cleaned it off. Everything is on spot so not sure what the reason for this is. Hopefully it will go away after some big poo.
