Why does he do that?
I just got Naga new hides, so I know they aren't too small for him anymore, but he keeps oozing out the side of his hides when he sleeps. Has anyone else had experience with this? Does it mean his temperatures need adjusted or something, or is he just being a derp noodle?

Tyson does it too. So does my Kingsnake, Django.

Yeah it seems that they like to coil up in a round shape better. I used to use those rectangular hides and unless it was significantly bigger, the snake always lifted it up. But now I’m using the round hides and I’ll always find them in such perfect round coils squished into there

They are not called box pythons
Mine likes to lift his hide before getting comfortable just because he can. If you are worried I would get a wider hide

Re: Why does he do that?
Just saw a thread like this 2 weeks ago. Seems your not alone. I use larger hides than needed and never had this problem...

Lucy does the same, just sticks loop of herself out sometimes. I really only see her do it on her cool side, so for her at least I don't think it's a temperature issue. Does always make me wonder.
