Is a lack of tongue flicking a concern?

Back again with another newbie question.

My Lola seems to never flick her tongue, my boyfriend has seen it a few times in the month we’ve had her, but I honestly haven’t at all.

Cool side temps run about 80, warm about 91. Humidity is usually about 55%. I see no other signs of stress that I’ve read about. She’s eaten three times, each time I offered, with no problems. She’s also pretty relaxed when I handle her, just draping herself around my fingers/hand.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

They won't flick their tongue when they're nervous usually, which is perfectly normal for a young, new snake. If she's eating and not showing any signs of any illness, there's not much reason to worry about it. You'll probably start seeing her tongue eventually as she gets used to things. Just have patience - snake adjustment time is slow.

my 600g Coral Glow female rarely flicks her tongue or she does it longer than expected; she's always a Nervous Nelly when she's out. id say it's fairly normal for a snake that age, or for one with a more shy personality like my Chiquita Banana.
