I actually just met and featured a young autistic boy and his mom on The Warrior Heart. Like many in the spectrum, he has and continues to face many challenges, but he has found a home in running track with Special Olympics of New Jersey and enjoys timing himself with the stopwatch. He also has been able to play baseball in the Miracle League of Mercer County. Coincidentally, a support group his mother belongs to is called NJ Autism Warriors. Totally a random and chance meeting, but I’m glad it happened and that I was able to share his story on my page.
