it was a very small dent thats gone now, though i do keep the humidity in his cage quite high with his water dish, live plants, and mistings, do you think it may be from his breeder?

Unless the snake arrived like that, I highly doubt it. What is 'quite high' numerically?

what color are ball pythons eyes?
The eyes cloud up the week before they shed their skin. Once the eyes clear up again the snake will shed. So make sure the shed is gone off the head (dull skin vs like new leather) as cleared eyes doesn't mean he shed them. Once they do shed their eyes are like glass. If you have a eye that isn't clear like glass no matter what color you think they are you may have a retained eye cap. I check all my shed skin no matter if its balled up or not. Eye caps and tails are the most important.
Keep humidity 50% to 60% and you can bump to 70% when eyes cloud for the weeks of shedding.

Re: what color are ball pythons eyes?
Depends on the morph, it's between green, blue, black, or red. I can't give detailed info about all of them, but I can give info about a normal's eye: It has a dark green base with black dots scattered all across it, with a solid black pupil going through the middle.

I read that 'dented' eye caps can be a sign of dehydration !?!
Is that so , would you think ?

Hey,
It can be, but in this case it was because the doofus bonked it on the cork I was using as a hide.

My girl has a little dent in her eye for as long as we've had her. Always been curious about it.

How long roughly?
Could it be a retained eye cap and/or slightly dehydrated ??
Worth checking unless you've had it a few years

I agree Id really make sure your humidity is high enough if its been a constant dent.

Re: what color are ball pythons eyes?
Had her about three and a half months. She's had one not so great shed followed by a good one, so no eye caps. Humidity is always above 50, I do my best to get it above 70 when she sheds.
I actually haven't checked for it since her last shed, so I may have hijacked the thread for nothing.
