For me, it tends to depend on the specific car, and the specific shade of a particular color. For example, for a Dodge Challenger I'd have to go with the classic orange, and for the newer Mustangs that nice, metallic yellow they have (anything metallic or with metallic flakes is always good). Generally I don't care for cars that are all white, black, grey, or silver, just because it seems like that's what everyone drives these days, and because I like bright, distinctly colored vehicles that I can't mistake for cop cars.
My current car is lime green, and I really like the body style for the model year, so I guess green will be my vote for now.
