Re: NARBC @ Tinley Park, March 2018!
I think Dracos and I are going on Sunday. I’ve got a leachie gecko to pick up. (Happy dance happy dance happy dance). Plus I need to hit the Pangea booth for food and cork bark for the little guy (did I mention happy dance?).
I spent yesterday and today at the convention center for our annual state floodplain manager’s conference. In past years I’ve gotten a hotel room (hour-plus drive from home before the 355 S extension opened), but this year I had to commute since husband and son are on the road, so I had to take care of the dog-boys. If it wasn’t for the dogs, I’d have stayed tonight and gone to the Friday night preview. The conference I was at wasn’t bad, but a 500 floodplain managers just aren’t as much fun as NARBC. Lot less crowded, though. . When I left at 3 today one of the electricians was putting in one of the big power feeds to the south end of the vendor hall.

We will see, it's going to be painful knowing that I can't pick anything up when I'm there but if AP has 6 or 8ft cages ready to go I think I'm going to head down....I would be there Saturday for sure. Chicago traffic though.....
There’s several motels on the other side of . . . Harlem, I think it is - the north-south road the convention center faces (brain is all squishy from “my” conference). I stayed at one two years ago for FP manager’s conference when the convention center hotel was sold out. If you don’t mind crossing umpty lanes of traffic you can easily walk to the convention center.
I don’t think AP is going to be there, I just double-checked and they’re not on the vendor list. When I asked a couple-three years ago they weren’t doing the spring show, as they needed to be home building enclosures.
