How Bizarre Is This?

Just a little side story, regarding "Numbers".

My childhood friend got killed on February 22. Many years ago.

We were SO close. More like sisters, twins even. Always together, always laughing, on the phone with each other, if not together. We always said we'd sill be laughing when sitting together in rocking chairs as old grand mas..

So she got killed on 2-22.

Even though it has now been many years, to this day I ALWAYS see "222" everywhere and all the times. I can wake up in the middle of the night and look at the clock, its 2:22 am. I'm driving in the car and just so happen to look at the clock. Its 2:22 pm. I can be at some office and look at the wall LED clock. 2:22 pm. Not always clocks, either, its just the combination of 3 "2's".

I see those numbers all the time. I don't think I'm just making myself look at a clock because its that time, because I can wake up out of deep sleep and there it is. And every time I see it, I think of her. That's why I never miss the anniversary of her death. That date is burned into my brain.

RIP, my dear friend.

Funny you would ask, Zina... It just happened again last night! My daughter was hanging out in my snake room with me and I went to check Sixx's temperatures and it happened. I was like "QUICK! TAKE A PICTURE! TAKE A PICTURE!" and probably for the first time ever she didn't have her cell phone with her! lol By the time she ran to her bedroom in the next room and got back the temp gun turned off and wouldn't do it again. At least I had a witness this time... lol It actually displayed "- 666"... There was an old lady, who died in this house a few years before I bought it. Maybe she's still hanging around and was one of those cooky holy rollers who thought snakes were evil, huh? lol

So, I keep having the strangest thing happen... Several times when I have went to check temperatures with my infrared laser thermometer when I squeeze the trigger to turn it on it will read, "666" and it won't get off the screen until after i've squeezed the trigger a few times... Interestingly, I am the founder of the Strange Happenings Ghost And Hauntings Research Society (though, i've basically retired from paranormal investigation) and this thermometer was originally used during our investigations back in the day. I'm honestly not sure how to explain this, but it's pretty weird...

I've been trying to capture a picture of it when it happens, but it hasn't happened for a few days...

As a life-long skeptic, I'd say the simplest answer is the correct answer. Your thermometer malfunctioned.

That is the most logical explanation in my opinion as well. The thermometer did it again a couple days after the last time I posted about it just for the record...
