A lot of mine were fairly active when they were young. They would patrol the perimeter of their tanks and have the bedding cleared away in a little path. That is a good time to go in and fix the bedding and lay some of your scent down so they can get use to you. Mine have also liked to wedge themselves between the tank and screen. Once they got older they settled down some and got into a more weekly routine where they would sleep for several days after feeding and be move active as it got closer to their scheduled feeding day.
