    Re: Young Ball Python

Hello,I soaked him again last night and when I put him back in the tank he tried to rub his head on a few items in the enclosure but then went bat to the hide. Thanks for letting me know to only use a 1/2 inch of water, he still does not like the bath time spends all the time trying to get out ended up on my hand, I check the temp to be in the 80s when I put him in but it cools down fast, he loves to be warm.I am hoping to find the shed off tonight. I looked up the water and wash cloth method and might try that if I have to.Thank You,

He will shed again in a month or 2. If thats the the only little bit left and you get your Humidity right it will come off next time. When he goes into the Blue before he sheds next time bump your Humidity so all comes off including the left over. You dont want layers of left shed.
Also if you say his UTH is just warm, think about the fact your body is 98 so anything warm to you is hot to him... 90 is plenty for Basking Hot Hide mat.

    Re: Young Ball Python

Hello I posted a few pictures on the member gallery site
I used tin foil cut out for the lights and it is helping keep the humity up
I am mist every few hours and overnight it does go down to 50
He is shedding in pieces today I can see flaking off
soaked him last night and had him go through a wet paper towel he has a dry spot on the top of his head that is bothering him I am hoping it will
the humity is good today should I soak him again

    thank you

Are those supposed to be hides? You want to give them sung hides to help them feel secure. Also you're gonna want an electronic thermometer and hygrometer, and blacking out the sides of your tank will help.

As others said, it sounds like your temperatures and humidity are way off. Very dangerous for a ball python. Read up and research all about proper husbandry, there is a TON of information in the husbandry section of the forums.
