If that's the correct snake in the photos, that's an albino burm, not a rock python.
Very sad to hear of these stories.
Dylan, rocks have a bad rep because they weren't bred in captivity much if at all for a long time so the majority of snakes in the trade were wild caught and therefore tended to be very defensive.
