    Scale issue...

Hey I recently went to where I get my live rats and mice, told them my bp was having an issue w her lil butt slit. She had a chunk of the calcium pee dried to it so they told me this time of year you gotta up the humidity so I did, I got her butt all taken care of and gave her sugar baths etc etc.. that's all good. I saved her from a pet shop early Oct of 17. She's only had one shed and I can see that she's about to do it again, she's growing so fast. She had trouble shedding the first time I think bc she came from a pet store but anyhow, she had a bit of scarring along her spine but I've now noticed there are like 2 or 3 patches of scales that look like a dry pinch.. I'll try to post a pic if need be. I've looked up mites, parasites, and scale rot. Nothing I've come across looks like it. If anyone has had the same problem or knows what it is plz help me figure it out! Thank you all so much!!

Sugar baths? How would that have helped? Did you put your snake in sugar water? Anyways, it sounds like your snake just had a bad shed. Do you have a hygrometer? What humidity are you getting in your enclosure?

Sugar helps with inflammation lol I just rehydrated her tank, it's at 70% at the moment.

Yes it worked, looks like it had a bad shed. Those should heal up when it sheds. Now what was with those sugar baths?

I agree, looks like just a shed issue. Bump your humidity for the upcoming shed and it should take care of itself.
