Re: Went to Petco for some animal supplies and just happen to check in the snakes....
I’ve been in contact with the district manager and the three that were taken out for special attention I was assured that they were being taken care of, although idk bout that they were taken to the vet and was told that they were “for their length, they were on the low end of acceptable weight” WTF?!?! Seriously?! I’m not done with my fight, trust me this!

Poor things. Last time I was at petco I saw a very skinny ball with a literal hole on the top of it's head. I have no clue how such a thing could happen, but it was an actual hole going into it's head...I had no words.

I guess some of these stores are better than others but if they can't create a standard of care and stick to it, none of these stores deserves to sell reptiles.
this was at my local petco, looks like a normal and a pinstripe to me, both were “on sale” for $35

Hey guy/gals went to the petco this week to check up and I can say WOW what a difference because of OUR efforts (as small as this may be on scale) but for it being in Kissimmee/Orlando and the effect it may have had these snakes that looked like they were going to die anytime actually came back to the sales floor and looks amazingly beautiful! All the snakes are being well maintained and husbandry is spot on. Records are on point and the knowledge the associates have is more in-depth. I’m really happy about this, I almost bought the two but here’s the Lemonblast that was one of the horribly emaciated ones! The Bumblebee, I wouldn’t have know it was the same one till I matched the pictures to its markings! What a turnaround!!

That's great! I hate that they're still together but they don't even look like the same snakes.

That's amazing! We've still got a long ways to go, but at least one of the pet stores cares! Woo!

This made me so angry and sad at the same time. They should be reported to local newspapers as well.

AWESOME work Aerries!!! I've contacted the district manager about my local Petco before as well. I wasn't as diligent as you were and gave up, figuring I was getting nowhere. You've inspired me to go full throttle if I ever feel the need again. The handful of times I've been in there since, things were improved, but nowhere near where they should be.
What you did was fantastic, you're an inspiration!!
