lol. run? sometimes it's like an obstacle course w/ all the people and carts and vendors and displays and stuff. maybe i'll strap on a helmet cam next time.

As you got, the Grey Poupon is an amazing deal! I'll buy the double pack big kikoman soy sauce as needed (I make my own teriyaki sauce and do a chicken stir fry a few times a month). My staples are the fresh packs of boneless, skinless chicken breasts (usually 6 breasts per pack), the bacon (4 pack) and sometimes english muffins, tortillas and sliced deli meat. I pre-trim all the chicken and vacuum pack 2 breasts per since it's just me and my BF. Meat freezes really well and it's such a better deal than the grocery store. (for instance, 1 pack of bacon at safeway is $6.99-8.99, the 4 pack at Costco is $9.99). Also get the Kirkland TP and sometimes packs of gatorade or Nature Choice peanut bars.

As for the giant mayo bags and such, some small restaurants will get supply there so it works for them just fine.

Costco is tricky. Some items are a great deal as long as you'll use it before it goes bad. It's really easy to get a bunch of stuff that isn't needed and while they do have a lot of neat things, I usually avoid the non-food isles because that's how you end up with a bill over $100 really quickly.
very smart Costco tips! i've bought alotta crap from the non-food aisle like the unbrella and snow brush/ice scraper above. and yes, i splurge of Grey Poupon lol. i should carry a lil bottle of it in the car just in case a rich old guy pulls up in a Rolls.

did u know that Costco also feeds u for free! on any given day esp. the weekends there's vendors and store employees doing food demo's handing out samples. u can eat a full meal by the time u are ready to checkout and pay.

impressive. i guess that makes sense. i just thought chefs and most peeps would use a one hand/hand held sized (immersion) blender.

Since some people haven't been in one before, I tried to grab some quick shots to show the scope of how big a Costco is! Hard to capture because the displays are so tall.

It’s a massive person-friendly warehouse? Looking at the chicken, I’m figuring everything isn’t in bulk after all? But there’s a membership price or can anyone join?

For food, that's about it, everything else is basically a jumbo pack or a 2-4-6 pack of whatever the normal size is. Other things, like housewares, tvs, they sell singles. Costco sells all sort of things like jewelry, sofas, limited selection of books/movies, clothing, car tires and installation and even fresh flowers. They also usually have a deli after check out where you can get a hoagie, pizza or hot dog for a good price. Costco is huge and the lines can be very long. They used to only accept cash, debit cards and checks but are supposed to start accepting credit cards soon. Currently it's $60 for a year membership, they also have business memberships. Anyone can join. For me the savings in my monthly trip more than pay for the cost of membership. They used to do photo developing and in the 90s was my go-to for getting my pictures.

You can also buy Lindor truffles the size of a human head there. Eating them must be quite the undertaking!

The one I go to also has its own optical department.
