I don't 100% know Jeffrees gender I go with male because that's typically what you get from pet stores. And awww good I don't want my baby to grow up too fast!!

when it comes to beeps there's also "the wall" they seem to hit once they reach a certain weight and will stop eating for a bit. for females it's around ~1000g, and for males it varies but Yellow definitely slowed down once he hit ~700g.

of course these are just theories that i've read and seen talked about over the years. nothing is ever set in stone when it comes to animals lol.
