I personally portion in ziplocks. I start by weighing and sorting the mice/rats. I then package them in groups of 5 or less depending on prey size in appropriately sized ziplocks. From there I put the small ziplocks in large freezer size ziplocks and then double bag in grocery bags. Never had any issues with freezer burn or anything else and have had prey last 6+months. Portioning into bags of 5 or less limits how many times a bag is opened and re-opened which also helps with freshness. Also, I sort by size to feed appropriate sized meals as the animals grow as well as keeps them separated by individual snake.

I certainly see no issue with using those containers, but I would bag in smaller individual bags to keep them air tight and prevent exposure to air each time you open the tub.

    Hope this helps.
