We're talking Royal / Ball pythons here though ... I'd be more confident using that method with King snakes or the like ...
Worth a try though of course ..

She escaped this this morning and I've been frantically trying to find her all day. Now I've tried placing her hides from her cage, hopefully she smells that it's familiar and she can feel safe in it and go in there. I'd place the heat mat but if I place it of the floor without anything she'll get burned if she gets on it. What else should I do?
I figured she has to be somewhere in my room, my door was closed before she escaped and I doubt she could fit under the doors gap. I checked the whole house regardless however. I've also placed towels under the door gaps so it'll trap her in if she is in my room.
I really wouldn't know where to start on this .. so I'll let the others have a go .. they normally head for some kind of heat source where it's quiet and dark - think like a snake - electric items are popular
I would just leave this though ..
I had an escapee a few weeks ago and I left his setup on the floor with the front door open .... heat mat (regulated by a thermostat )on and fresh water - he turned up ten days later presumably for the heat ... he was curled up asleep when I checked one morning ..

The only other thing that I can suggest is to sprinkle talc powder or baking flour all around the skirting boards and at least it shows whereabouts or which rooms they are using ... as they're drawn towards the walls of course ..

I mean I doubt she's hungry, she ate just last Friday. Should I use live or dead?

I had checked every corner, every item on the floor, every place that had a potential hiding hole. The only thing I have in my house that gives off warmth is the bottom of my fridge and I already checked that. I don't have anything electrical on the floor that can give off heat. Since her setup is a tank, I'm gonna have to flip it on its side for that.

Only rooms she could possibly be is my room, my parents' room, kitchen or the living room out of 3 other rooms. However she's most likely in my room, I guess I could try that if all else fails.

My self I'd go with live. But like Zin said, try the flour or powder method first.

Is it possible for them to detect heat from across the room? I turned her heat pad on and put the tank on its side for her to crawl in along with a hide on top of the heat mat.
Should I put the powder at night? Knowing her, she doesn't like to come out of her hide at all until its night time.

Yes it's possible. But put flour/powder down when you get home if not there now. But can I ask a question? A couple weeks ago my red tail got out and I found him (after an hour) behind enclosure snuggled in a towel I used at night to cover him. Have you checked around the enclosure?

I forgot to mention that my dad has some CCTV cameras that has night vision. I just remembered he had 8 spares. This is a good idea to use, right?
And yes I checked everywhere near the enclosure (My entire room, or at least everywhere I could possibly think of) her enclosure is backed against a wall and the left and right side or in the open. There's no where around the tank where she could hide. So far it's been a day. How long can they go without drinking water? I'm sure she has to go out and find a source of water soon.

As regards them searching out heat ... I've read accounts of them being found in tiny , cramped places and in washing machines , cooker ovens , Desktop PCs , on those power cable multi plug extension leads , towel cupboards .... they love climbing and quite often start moving upwards off the floor so ....
As I mentioned my escaped LTR was lured back into its viv after I placed it one the floor of the snake room - just heat and water enticed him back - just left the glass door open so he was able to climb back in .... ten days or so , later
