    Re: Things I've Learned

Just been reading a lot of posts lately with lots of people with new snoots that are having many of the same questions and difficulties that I had when my snake was new too. So I thought I'd make a short post of the things I've learned - most probably only pertain to him; but if it can help someone....

    1. Ball python's are picky:
*Deer park is the only acceptable form of water
*Male rats are sub-par and usually refused due to this flaw

    2. Ball python's are stubborn:
*The care sheet says I need a 90* hot spot and an 80* cool side, but I think I'll find the coolest part of the cage and stay there most of the time
*It is best to stop eating at random times for random lengths of time and watch rats try and offer themselves as sacrifice...then deny them
*This hide keeps moving, I have to fix it every night...the water bowl does not have enough mulch in it, let me fix that too

    3. Ball python's are pet rocks:
    *I'm a rock.
*I sit here for hours, then sit there for hours...but are never seen moving between the two locations

    4. Ball python's are curious:
*That stick is new, I need to stare at it for a very long time...just to make sure it does not go anywhere
*What is over there... (periscope snake), nothing, great time to go be a rock

    5. Ball python's are the best noodles:
*is there anything else to be said??

No cage is too large - nature is the best template - a snoot can't be booped too much
