No problem! A know a lot of people on the forum use this chart (myself included) so anytime I see someone worried about feeding their snake the wrong size prey or if they're snake is too thin, I send it to them lol.

It's not about weight but body proportions and you do not want to feed anything bigger than a small rat for a male even the biggest ones.
Males should be lean and trim.
As for their size at a certain age they all grow at a different rate, based on weight out of the egg, how fast they get started, prey size, feeding frequency, skipped meal, fast and genetic predisposition.

I went to the petshop earlier(as it's feeding day) and looked for a medium rat and this thing was huge! Much wider than my female, so i purchased a small rat instead. My male is being abit fussy. He struck and missed the first time and caught it the second time. He hasn't ate it at all. Not sure why though. Should i leave the rat there and hope he eats it later?

My male does that sometimes. He'll strike it and take it and curl around it for a bit, and then he'll let it sit there for about an hour- an hour and a half and eat it. You can try leaving it in there for a while (some say over night) and he should take it. If he doesn't, you can take it out and throw it away and try again later. My male hasn't done it in a while, now he takes it and drags it into his hide to eat it in privacy, so he may eventually start doing that. Nothing to be concerned about though, you can just leave it in there for a bit and he should eventually take it on his own.

Seems like he tried pulling it into his hide as it's half out and his head is poking out his at the same time. He is a weird boy. Lol. I will leave it in there then. Only got him on Sunday, so this is his first feed with me. My female takes hers with ease everytime. My corn coiled round the mouse more than my pythons. Lol.
