Such a funny thread. I am one of the rare people out there who is ambivalent to licorice. I neither love it nor hate it, really, it just depends on my mood.
My husband on the other hand DESPISES it. So much so, that he's sworn off anything that even remotely reminds him of licorice...like fennel, fennel seeds, Absinthe liquor, anise. He can smoke out a "licorice flavor" if any one of those things is remotely near the food he's eating and is immediately repulsed. Crazy!
