Male Enclosure Size
Hello, I love Ball Pythons and owning one seems like an awesome opportunity. I have a 20 Gallon Long tank laying around, and wondered if it would be of suitable size for a male juvenile, or possibly a male adult. I know they enjoy small spaces, but is a 20L too small?

Re: Male Enclosure Size
20 gallon is good for a sub adult from what I've been reading on here Some people keep juveniles in a 10 gallon but a 20 gallon should work as long as there's sufficient hides and a good amount of other clutter so they feel more hidden.

Re: Male Enclosure Size
welcome to the forum!!!

i'd expect a male to outgrow the 20gal within a couple years, maybe longer, just as mine did. i only have the one experience with my 3-year-old male, but males can actually get pretty big so it might be best to anticipate having to upgrade down the road.

20 is good for a juvie and sub adult but you will need to upgrade later.
