Yeah, it's just really on the sides to keep it all tight together, and around the opening so he doesn't cut himself on sharp cardboard. That's what I did last time, when I saw him going into shed I bumped the humidity up to around 65%. But I thought a humid hide might be easier  And, you keep your humidity above 60% ALL the time? I thought that was too high...

tape is usually bad, but in this case it is just part of the box, and I don't see an issue.

Oh alright  I always try to keep Geno at 55-60% because I'm so afriad of scale rot. But that's good!
So I guess I'll keep the hide? I thought of the tape and trimmed everything away I thought posed a possible threat. Thanks again

Sorry I have to disagree. It doesn't matter if it's part of the box, an insistent enough bp can and will find a way to get it peeled off or on them. It doesn't stop the bp from crawling over the box or rubbing against it and that's enough to eventually loosen a tape edge. It's just too risky in general. Bad things have happened in this forum with duct tape.
in the end op your choice, but why take the chance?

thats cool, I disagree as well, lol. I would bet the snake never gets the duct tape on him ever.. never.

that Tupperware "hide" is too transparent and will likely be rejected, as it lets the snake be seen from all sides.

Tape corners unstick and fall off over time sometimes, especially when wet or damp, and accidents happen. It's honestly better to just avoid it altogether than take that "I bet it won't happen though" risk.
