    Small mouse bite

Today I fed Belle. Unfortunately, I got too many hopper mice last time I picked up feeders, so I had to feed her 2. First one went well, but the 2nd was able to bite her when she was constricting it. I was able to get it off her with the tongs before anything else could happen, but it did leave a small mark on her. It doesn't look like it broke the skin. Do you guys think it'll be unnoticeable once she sheds a couple times?

looks superficial to me, so not much to worry about right now. it will be gone within a shed or two.

since it was a bite, i'd get neosporin WITHOUT pain relief and put some on the site daily for like a week or so just to ensure it stays clean. this probably isn't necessary but it would put my mind at ease.

    Re: Small mouse bite

I have some neosporin. I checked on her again today and it isnt getting worse. I’m gonna leave her be till tomorrow since she just ate yesterday. I’ll put some neosporin on it tomorrow.

I’ve placed an amazon order for materials needed for a rodent euthanasia chamber so I can try and get her on pre killed food. I really don’t want my baby getting bit by anything else.

She refused thawed for the breeder multiple times. I wanted to get her settled in and eating live before offering thawed.

Good luck with transferring her to p/k and f/t. I built my own gas chamber from stuff on amazon too. Works very well and a single tank of CO2 lasted me maybe 2 years with the small number of euthanizations I did. I would get a very small plastic bin since you will be euthanizing only one feeder at a time. Mine uses a "shoe box" sized container that will gas 4-6 at a time and for a single rat, you have to use more CO2 to fill the chamber.

    Re: Small mouse bite

I ordered a co2 tank, a remote coil(tube that goes from the tank to a quick disconnect fitting), and a shallow tupperware container. I’ve been doing a little research on it. It’s not something I’m thrilled about doing, so I wanna do it as humainly as possible.
