    And don't forget to calm down and breathe. The worst part of hurricanes these days is how over hyped the media gets everyone.

    Make your plan. Do your prep. Decide where you will evacuate to IF you go and figure out your latest time you can leave. Once you decide to go or stay, settle in and do that.

    Just an update. We were very very lucky and we're barely hit at all by the storm, we didn't even loose power where I am. Thank you all for the advice and thoughts, and my heart goes out to everyone who was not so lucky

    That's great news! What part of Florida? We are in Atlanta and bracing for power outages, etc.....
