    As far as humidity control with a glass tank, ultimately I ended up dropping the heat lamp and getting an under-tank-heater AND a side-mounted heat pad. Yes, it took TWO heat mats to compensate for the missing ceramic heat lamp, but the humidity stays up now. Also, I ended up insulating the entire glass tank, except for the front viewing part and I use an insulation blanket on the top screen to trap humidity, with only a small ventilation port. IMO, it is CRITICAL to cover the screen in a glass tank, otherwise the humidity just constantly escapes. Hope this helps.
