Feeding question. Can I use frozen thawed frozen thawed rats?

Yesterday was one week feed day on a 7 day schedule.

She's timid, so I put the rat in after thawing and warming and walk away, when I wake up it's usually gone. This is the first time she didn't eat. She does still look big from last meal. Feeding her small rats.

I woke up and the rat was there so i packed it in a Ziploc and threw it in the freezer.

Should I use a new rat or can I use the one that has already been frozen?

If you're saying you left it there overnight then I would not use it.

Seconding tossing it out. I wouldn't trust refreezing a feeder that was left overnight. Better safe than sorry

Overnight throw it onside for other critters. It will get eaten outside. Don't reuse.

I agree refreezing a thawed rat left over night is a bad idea. What about re-feezing a thawed rat that has only been thawed an hour, but is refused? I have been tossing them, but was wondering if I could refreeze them safely?

that is safe to refreeze. do not thaw, refreeze, thaw a feeder more than once.

Yep, same here, I offer and if they don't eat, I will put it back in the freezer once. So far both snakes eat right away. Guess I am one of the lucky ones. If they don't take it I may heat it back up and offer again if still a no go then it goes back in the freezer right away. I'll try it one more time then it's gone.
