The probe being inside the enclosure can be problematic. It can be peed/pooped on, it can be moved by the snake, which can cause inaccurate readings which my result in dangerous heat spikes.

I spoke with another member on the subject of my probe placment and will pick up some Alluminum tape on my next trip to the hardware store
Constantly trying to improve, always open to learning. For the good of the animals, education is priority.

No idea what that is .... presumably it's not any kind of sticky tape if it's for inside the rub/viv ...

Aluminum tape is incredibly sticky. I use it to attach my UTH's to the underside of my vivs. I don't recommend it for inside a cage.

No tape ever inside of habitats! Please! I have seen too many boops get stuck and hurt, read stories if broken spines, and snakes dying. Do not put anything sticky inside of your habitat. Please!

Oh,geez. So sorry! I didn't mean it that way. I meant that the tape( that I now have and have used) was used to tape tape the pad to the bottom of the tank with the probe on the middle(As shown in the tank setup sticky) I would never pit tape in a snakes enclosure
