I couldn't believe it when I walked in the room and saw that tail sticking out of his mouth! Haha....

Well I spoke to soon...... I went downstairs to discard the mouse and this is what I walked into....BOOM!!!!!!



So my question is when is a safe time to put the hide back in and save my myself from getting tagged. It's a pretty dark basement so maybe I can wait a little longer

I'll never get this. I've tried many times just leaving the prey. Basically if there's no movement none of my snakes will touch it it will just sit there till the morning. Would love to be able to just drop a warm rat in and walk away. As it is though I have to make them do a little dance lol

I'm glad he ate for you Kuhn. It's always a great feeling when they eat right away. Some snakes will take food from tongs, others have to be drop fed and left alone, and some snakes you just have to throw the food in quickly before they see it and come flying at you.
