    Blotches on snakes skin?

My ball python shed last night and today I noticed a small patch of red blotches on his scales almost like bruises or very mild Burns. One of the marks actually made an indent in his body. (These marks are at the top and side of his body) He tends to squeeze himself into places he can barely fit so could that be the cause of these red marks? Is this something I should be concerned about?

Can you post an image? Also do you have an unregulated heat pad or (god forbid) a heat rock?
